THE GAINSBOROUGH CANCER CARE TRUST

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 23 August 2022. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

The main object of the Trust is to use the bank interest it earns from funds held on deposit to satisfy any requests made from cancer care bodies and helping cancer patients. Whilst it is prepared to buy equipment used by patients many requests for transport etc. to treatment are met. It is the aim of the Trust to make life easier for patients.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
