What it does
Gives work experience in a safe environment to people with learning disabilities. Helps them to gain self-respect and self confidence and learn to use normal public facilities - to go on a bus and to go to a cafe. Friendly co-operation of trainee and volunteer helper helps to break down public prejudice and fear of people with learning difficulties.
