THE LADY MAYORESS'S (1925) HOLIDAY FUND FOR CHILDREN
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 17 January 2017. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
The purpose of the fund shall be to provide holidays for children who are disadvantaged, generally aged over 10 and under 13 years, who attend schools in the City of Chester district and are normally resident in the district and to contribute towards the cost of holidays for such children which are provided by schools and other organisations.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
