MILLERS DALE AND DISTRICT WOMENS INSTITUTE
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 7 August 2009. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
The main purposes of the W.I. are to enable women interested in issues associated with rural life, including arts, crafts and sciences to improve and develop their conditions, to advance their education in citizenship, in national and international affairs, and in all branches of handicrafts, home economics, health and social welfare. We seek to give to women the opportunity of working together.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
