THE CITY OF LONDON SCHOOL FOR GIRLS CENTENARY FUND

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 1 December 2011. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

The aim of the City of London School for Girls Centenary Fund is to provide Centenary Scholarships in commemoration of the founding of the school by William Ward in 1894. The scholarships will meet or contribute towards school fees on behalf of pupils who fulfil the criteria established by the Trustees, being those pupils who, without financial assistance would not able to attend the school.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
