THE HALESWORTH AND DISTRICT MUSEUM
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 9 February 2021. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
The museum exists to excite curiosity and interest in the town of Halesworth and the rural area it serves. It helps both the local people and visitors to understand and appriciate the reasons for the town's development and its contribution to the district's cultural and historical heritage. In addition it preserves appropiate material representing that heritage.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
