THE WILDERNESS FOUNDATION UK
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 27 November 2009. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
The Foundation develops understanding of the value of wilderness experience through trails and social programmes. Experience of the wild is used as a positive force for social and environmental sustainability, using pioneering models of work that engage vulnerable youth, as well as political and community decision makers. Leadership and advocacy development is key.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
