WILCOVE WOMEN'S INSTITUTE

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 29 April 2009. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

We operate in a rural area of Cornwall - a small river inlet village. We meet monthly - usually with a speaker, but sometimes a member's evening. Twice a year we get together with other WIs in the Torpoint /Rame cluster. We organise trips and attend County WI functions/activities. We make federation resolutions which we hope will have an impact on the wider community of GB or even the world.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
