THE OPEN CHURCHES TRUST
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 8 June 2009. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
The objects of the Trust are the advancement of education by promoting the provision of access to the public to places of worship in England, Wales and Scotland, having architectural, historic or artistic merit.Having achieved these objectives the Trustees decided in 2006 to cease active operations and the Trust is now being wound down.

About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
