SUDDEN DEATH SUPPORT ASSOCIATION
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 17 December 2009. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
Befriending service for those who have been bereaved by sudden death, be it accidental or medical. Our volunteers have themselves been through a sudden bereavement and we aim to match the circumstances of the newly bereaved person to that of our volunteer so that this gives the newly bereaved person someone to talk to who completely understands. All our communication is via the telephone.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
