THE SHREWSBURY FURNITURE SCHEME
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 12 January 2020. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
The Shrewsbury Furniture Scheme collects donated furniture, electrical and other household goods in good condition from people in Shrewsbury and the surrounding area. The items are then re-used and provided to individuals and families whom are unemployed,on a low income or in receipt of benefits. This project is not open to serve the general public.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
