SUPPORTERS OF OUTWOOD LIBRARY

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 9 September 2011. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

The charity was originally set up to help fight closure of a local libray (that had been opened after closing 3 smaller ones) as the local community felt it was too valuable local resource to be lost.It now helps organise events that support and promote the local community with events for children, local history and about a local wildlife rescue

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
