BLIND AND SIGHT IMPAIRED SOCIETY
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 27 May 2021. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
Blind and Sight Impaired Society supports adults with sight loss in South Essex, helping them to live fulfilling and independent lives and reducing isolation. We provide multiple services including a home visiting scheme to offer information and support, social and educational activities, a resource center with specialist equipment on display for visually impaired people to 'try before they buy'.

About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
