HALT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 24 September 2017. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
HALT offer legal advice, support and advocacy to women (and men if appropriate) who have experienced domestic, sexual or honour based violence or abuse, stalking or forced marriage in Leeds. HALT works to reduce the risk of further harm to women and their families from domestic and sexual violence and abuse. HALT was the first Independent Domestic Violence Adviser (IDVA) service in the UK.

About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
