ARAB WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT ASSOCIATION

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 24 April 2017. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

We teach Quran and Arabic. Give advice to women on domestic issues. We have E.S.O.L. classes in association with East Birmingham College. We help the local children who have fallen behind at school with English and maths. We hold ladies classes in sewing, henna and hair and beauty occasionally.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
