GAMBIA MALNUTRITION FUND

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 9 August 2014. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

GMF supports the treatment of severe malnutrition in The Gambia; primarily through awarding small grants to the Gambia National Nutrition Agency (NaNA) to assist in training and retention of nurses and medical staff at the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital (RVTH), Banjul and at other clinics countrywide. We also import concentrated vitamin and mineral mix (CMV) required by such clinics.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
