THE ARMED FORCES MEMORIAL TRUST

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 3 February 2016. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

The Armed Forces Memorial in Staffordshire is dedicated to UK Armed Forces personnel killed on duty or as a result of terrorist action since 1 January 1948. A memorial (with no names) to Service personnel killed in conflicts has been erected in the Cloisters of Westminster Abbey. Rolls of Honour listing those who have died will be kept in the three military churches in London.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
