FRIENDS OF LONGCAUSE SCHOOL

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 9 February 2018. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

THE CHARITY EXISTS TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF PUPILS AT LONGCAUSE COMMUNITY SPECIAL SCHOOL IN PLYMPTON ST MAURICE, PLYMOUTH. IN ORDER TO DO THIS WE ORGANISE FUNDRAISING EVENTS SUCH AS SUMMER/CHRISTMAS FAIRS, SUMMER/CHRISTMAS PRIZE DRAWS AND 50/50 CLUB. THIS ENABLES US TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR MANY SCHOOL ACTIVITIES INCLUDING ANNUAL RESIDENTIAL WEEKS.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
