SOUNDAROUND

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 7 February 2024. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

Soundaround is a charity serving blind & visually impaired people by producing an interactive audio magazine monthly called Soundaround started 30 odd years ago by Nigel Verbeek. Until 2008 it was carried on by an older charity then merged with this charity explaining its own short history. Soundaround is published free of charge on tapes posted to listeners on its website & as a podcast.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
