UK FRIENDS OF NYAKASURA

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 9 October 2012. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

The charity exists to give support and financial assistance to Nyakasura School, Fort Portal Uganda. This is a mixed boarding secondary school with about 750 pupils. In the financial year April 2006-March 2007 the charity provided textbooks, solar lights, spare parts for a water pump, school desks and benches. Two volunteers spent 3 months teaching at the school.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
