THE CITIZENS' INQUIRY
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 3 April 2012. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
The Citizens' Inquiry aims to advance education and promote research into democratic and political form, processes and activities and their democratic effectiveness, and to promote public inquiry into the motives and reasons for public engagement (or lack of it) with political life at every level insofar as it affects British citizens and communities. The charity is not currently trading.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
