THE WILLIAM-BERNARD MEMORIAL FUND - SANKOFA TRUST
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 21 January 2026. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
The trust gives grants (not loans) to individuals living in or with some connection to the Berekum District assembly area of Brong-Ahafo, Ghana. This enables them to start up their own business to provide an income for themselves and their family. In appropriate circumstances, grants are also given to enable education or training to be undertaken by orphans.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
