CLEFT

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 4 October 2021. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

CLEFT aims to research the unanswered problems in improving care for children born with cleft lip & palate. We aim to push the boundaries of conventional treatment by funding research into improving operating techniques & by looking at the underlying reasons for cleft deformities. We also support cleft teams in the developing world by working with them to improve surgery & facilities.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
