GIRL - INDIA
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 10 October 2018. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
We have now set up an education fund in north India which meets the costs of sending over 100 needy girls to school. The girls live in various villages in Himachal Pradesh and we provide uniforms, shoes, books as well covering the cost of school fees. Abandoned women/widows are now supplied with looms/sewing machines to give them the means to earn a living.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
