THE PYRUS TRUST

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 20 August 2019. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

The Pyrus Trust is a small endowment-based charity making grants to children in care and care leavers taking a vocational, educational or therapeutic course in the creative arts. An award scheme is run in conjunction with Manchester Metropolitan University & the University of Brighton. Grants are also made to organisations using the creative arts in their work with young people in or from care.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
