TURNER CONTEMPORARY ART TRUST
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 30 October 2012. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
Turner Contemporary Art Trust seeks to develop the visual arts with a particular emphasis on Kent. The Trustees have decided that in the period 2007-2011 they will concentrate their support on grants towards the building of Turner Contemporary in Margate as they see the Gallery as a central focus of the development of the visual arts in Kent.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
