THE OVARIAN AND PROSTATE CANCER RESEARCH TRUST

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 8 July 2014. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

OPCaRT's mission is to support research into the efficacy and mode of action of botanically derived anti-cancer compounds, initially targeting ovarian cancer and prostate cancer. Currently in the UK, there are over 7,000 new cases of Ovarian Cancer diagnosed each year, and some 4,600 deaths. The equivalent figures for Prostate Cancer are 35,000 and 10,000 respectively. About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
