FRIENDS OF THE CHARLES CLORE UNIT

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 7 May 2013. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

The Charles Clore Unit offers active holistic care, management of pain and provision of psychological, social and spiritual support. We also arrange access to a range of therapies such as reflexology and aromatherapy as well as organising a variety of social outings. Perhaps most importantly the unit gives people the opportunity to meet with others who are in a similar situation.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
