THE HONOURABLE COMPANY OF MASTER MARINERS AND HOWARD LEOPOLD DAVIS CHARITY
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 12 December 2018. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
The Charity has two purposes. Firstly, to relieve Master Mariners and Deck Officers of the British Merchant Navy and their families and dependents, who are in need through financial hardship, sickness, disability or the effects of old age.Secondly, to educate and train persons serving or intending to serve in the Merchant Navy and persons with an interest in seamanship or sail training.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
