INSTRUMENTED HIVE PROJECT

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 9 June 2012. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

The IHP is concerned with honey bees as social insects. It has a broad educational role, including the provision of talks, presentations, show exhibits, also beginners apiculture courses for both adults and children. With modern technology it undertakes studies of bees in such areas as acoustic and vibration signalling, remote colony monitoring, electronic tagging and traffic counting.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
