OXFORDSHIRE LOWLAND SEARCH AND RESCUE

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 28 March 2022. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

OxSAR is a team of volunteers available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to support the emergency services. Our main role is to assist the Police service with vulnerable missing person searches across Oxfordshire and assist other search teams in the surrounding counties. OxSAR is also available to assist the emergency services, county council and other agencies in the event of a major incident.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
