CURE AND ACTION FOR TAY-SACHS (CATS) FOUNDATION
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 11 July 2023. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
The CATS Foundation operates in the UK and provides support to families affected by Tay-Sachs and Sandhoff disease. We provide equipment that a child with the disease may need, respite holidays, funeral funding, a support network and information to families. The charity also supports the research into a possible cure for these devestating diseases.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
