ASSOCIATION OF MOUNTAINEERING INSTRUCTORS

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 4 February 2020. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

The AMI is the representative body for qualified mountaineering instructors holding the MIA and MIC. It is committed to promoting good practice in mountaineering instruction. It helps the general public become independent and self-reliant mountaineers by developing the skills to move safely and confidently in the UK and Irish hills through specific courses in different mountaineering disciplines.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
