CRIMEAN WAR RESEARCH SOCIETY
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 8 May 2014. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
Promoting research for the public benefit in all aspects of the Crimean War 1854-1857, the preservation of contemporary documents and the promotion of their availability, the preservation and publication of personal histories and diaries and the recording of memorials, monuments and relics. The Society's journal, "War Correspondent" being the main tool to help achieve these.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
