THE IRAQ/AFGHANISTAN MEMORIAL PROJECT
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 10 July 2017. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
To erect in Central London a memorial to all members of the British Armed Forces and citizens of the United Kingdom who served the nation in the campaigns in Iraq from 1990 to 2009 and Afghanistan from 2003 to 2015; to raise the necessary funds, to let a contract for the construction and erection of the memorial, and to plan the ceremonial dedication..
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
