What it does
The object of the charity is to advance the education of the public in the history and heritage of mining through the provision of educational activities and literature, in addition to the provision and maintenance of a memorial to those who lost their lives to coal, particularly those who did so as a result of the Oaks Mining Disaster in December 1866.
