THE CHARLES HENRY EXPERIENCE

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 8 July 2025. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

To preserve the only Oakley Class 48 Lifeboat afloat. Youth organisations and members of the public have the opportunity to help volunteers and trustees with the maintenance of the boat, ensuring the boat remains in a seaworthy condition. Youth organisations will be able to experience sea voyages, learning navigation & seamanship whilst experiencing life on board a 53 year lifeboat.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
