ABU SALABIKH ARCHAEOLOGICAL TRUST
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 8 July 2025. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
The Trust is specifically and exclusively directed to the continuation of fieldwork at the one archaeological site called Abu Salabikh, and to the publication and other forms of dissemination of the results. The criterion for support by the Trust is whether the research and any associated activities fulfil the objectives as defined in the Trust's Constitution, in line with the Grant Criteria.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
