PATE HOUSE CHARITY
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 9 February 2020. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
To provide accommodation, in pleasant surroundings, for ladies and gentlemen aged 60 or over who are either single or widowed and must have born or now reside in the Ancient Parishes of Cheltenham or The Leigh. They should be able to care for themselves in all activities of daily living.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
