HAMMERSMITH AND FULHAM MENCAP

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 15 December 2014. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

Hammersmith and Fulham Mencap works with people with learning disabilities and their supporters with the aim of enabling them to make more choices and have more control over their own lives and supporting them to have equal access to housing, employment, good health services, day opportunities, education and leisure facilities.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
