What it does
The charity of Joseph Harrison was originally an endowed charity trust set up in 1841 to help patients and their families on discharge from the asylum. This was suspended in 1947 due to low cash assets. With the sale of the Stanley Royal Psychiatric hospital site in 2001, the trustees obtained ú2.3 million.
