LEAGUE OF FRIENDS OF ST HELENS HOSPITAL
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 14 April 2009. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
To mobilise, encourage, foster and maintain the interest of the public in the patients and support of the work of the St Helens Hospital by means of voluntary service. To provide funds for the purpose of supplementing in such a manner as the League thinks fit the resources of the Hospital service.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
