HUNTLEY AND PALMERS BENEVOLENT FUND
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 3 November 2020. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
The Charity's purpose is to provide help, financially, to widows of former employees of Huntley & Palmers Biscuit Manufacturers, later widened to those of the Jacobs Bakery Ltd, Liverpool. Whose pensions ceased with their death by way of quarterly grants. Also to provide financial help in individual circumstances where hardship is being experienced.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
