CATHOLIC HOUSING AID SOCIETY (BRADFORD)
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 10 December 2014. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
CHAS Bradford was formed in May 1965 by two local churches; First Martyrs and St Cuthberts. In April 2012 it merged into St Vincent de Paul Society (England and Wales) Ref: 1053992. CHAS @ St Vincent's provides specialist legal advice in housing and debt, general benefits and immigration advice, floating support for the vulnerable and a household goods re-use service in Bradford and Calderdale.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
