THE JERUSALEM AND THE MIDDLE EAST CHURCH ASSOCIATION
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 8 November 2016. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
JMECA's main objective is to encourage support in prayer, money and personal service for the religious and other charitable work of the four self-governing Dioceses - Jerusalem, Egypt, Iran and Cyprus and the Gulf - that together form the Province of the Episcopal (Anglican) Church in Jerusalem and the Middle East. Indigenous clergy looks after churches, schools, hospitals and other foundations.

About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
