THE INSTITUTE OF FOOD SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY TRUST FUND

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 6 March 2009. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

The provision of a safe, nutritious and palatable food supply to the public is contingent upon an adequate understanding of the underlying science and its implementation by all those involved throughout the food chain through good practice. The trust seeks to promote this understanding and good practice at all levels including food professionals, students and the public.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
