THE LORD ASHDOWN CHARITABLE TRUST 1968
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 3 June 2016. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
The Trust was established in 1968 for general charitable purposes. Its objectives are now being concentrated in the field of facilitating and helping other trusts with technical and strategic advice needed for their efficient running. Whilst reduced grant giving is still undertaken, it is only part of the activities of the Trust.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
