THE BRIDGNORTH AFRICAN PROJECT

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 30 March 2020. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

Bridgnorth African Project gives development and emergency aid to the people of the village of Sikonge in Tanzania. Aid is channelled through a group of four resident members to the hospital, leprosarium and schools, and to other groups who apply via the resident members, where such applications are recommended by them and approved by the trustees. Emergency aid is also sent if required.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
