THE JAMES WILKES CHARITABLE TRUST

This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 8 January 2013. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does

The aim of the trust is to provide financial assistance to a variety of charitable organisations by way of grants. Predominantly, the organisations are West Midlands based but, grants are also made to national well known charities. The trust supports charities that care for the needs of people affected by disability, social hardship and terminal illness. As well as the rescue services.

In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.

About this record

From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers. Figures are as the charity last filed them, not as audited by us — browse the whole register, including the charities removed from it.
