THE MAYOR OF NEW SARUM'S APPEAL FUND
This charity is no longer on the register, removed on 29 June 2012. A removal is usually a charity that wound up, merged, or fell below the income threshold, and is not in itself a finding against anyone — but an appeal still quoting this number today is quoting a charity the Commission no longer registers.

What it does
The Mayor of Salisbury (New Sarum) raises funds for their appeal by holding a range of fund raising events and activities. At the end of their Mayoral year the Mayor donates the funds to a, generally local, charity of their choice, which they nominate when they are elected as mayor.
In the charity's own words, as filed with the Commission.
About this record
From the Charity Commission's register of England and Wales, republished nightly under the Open Government Licence. The Commission does not regulate Scotland or Northern Ireland, which keep their own registers.
